Five winners win a 10-day validation trip to Ghana including local business coaching. The ultimate winner wins a return ticket to the GBT Investment conference in Ghana.

Bridging the Gap
The returning program trains 15 entrepreneurs in what it takes to set up a business in Ghana, offers a network of potential investors and helps to develop their business idea to a business case through personal coaching. At the end of the program each entrepreneur pitches his or her business case to a panel of judges. The five best business cases receive further support to validate their business. They will go on a ten-day trip to Ghana to test their business concept in the home market with the help of a local business coach.
The business booster successfully trained fifteen Dutch-Ghanaian entrepreneurs in March 2017 to develop their business idea to a pitch-ready business case. The winner of the pitch competition, Nii-Nmai Dsane (owner of, attended the GBT Startup Investor Conference in Ghana in October.

Many Dutch-Ghanaian entrepreneurs have a good business idea, develop a strong business plan but do not have the opportunity to test it before launching it into the market. GBT offers the five winners of the GBT Business Booster a validation trip to Ghana to test their business model with the help of a local business coach. An independent jury selects the winners during the pitch competition at the end of the five-week Business Booster training.

The GBT Business Booster is truly a fast-track program to train aspiring entrepreneurs in all the basic skills they need to have to kick off their business or to accelerate it to the next level. It covers the key building blocks to move an idea to a product/service that is ready to launch into the market. The interactive sessions include workshops on business and financial modelling, the lean startup, and marketing and sales. After one month, we organize a follow-up session for all the participants to share experiences and get advice on the hurdles they are facing.
